Well! It certainly has been a while, and I apologize. Starting more classes and getting myself more set up in the city (again) consumed way more time than I had expected, especially giving some of the more intense classes I ended up taking. On the plus side, I’ve begun a facebook page which you can (and should *nudge nudge wink wink*) Like to follow me on a more consistent basis and see what I might be talking about.
Now, with that out of the way, on to the more important stuff, and that would be some brand new short stories to read!
Well! Apparently finding a job and apartment were way more time-consuming than I would have ever wanted, but at least it’s done. In the meantime, I was finally able to finish the extra, behind-the-scenes Blast Back content for my Patreon supporters! It’s super easy (and cheap) to become one, and doing so will help me continue creating more stories for you lovely readers to eat up.
It’s been fun working on the common reward for Blast Back that Patreon supporters will have access to; a by-chapter, Ultimania-like design diary has been great for solidifying some ideas that otherwise seem like passing thoughts, and some slightly more in-depth looks at concepts might be up a few peoples’ alley. now that I have officially begun submitting things with Patreon, it’s been interesting, a new step into what I love doing. *PHEW* Finally finished the newest chapter of Blast Back, just in time for the start of summer vacation. hopefully I’ll be able to continue releasing these with a greater schedule over the summertime (fates willing), and we can make some real headway into the heart of the plot!
In related news, this chapter is also the first piece of content that is being put up in conjunction with Patreon! With this, I’ll be able to received support from all you lovely people, and offer exclusive content about the fiction I create! If you’re not a patron and would love to be, you can head over to my Patreon profile and look into what’s what.
Now, back to the grindstone, I’ve got more story to tell! Until the next post, Keep Yourself Alive!
Just a quick little update, the next chapter of Blast Back (Chapter IV) is nearly complete. I’ve finished the rough draft, and now it’s in the editing stages. I apologize immensely for the long wait, this first year in university has been full of work, and more often than not free time I acquired was put to use by just being content to do nothin’ at all. I was able to jot things down over the school year, but not until just recently was I able to finish it – although now I’m into the home stretch of the year, full of final papers to complete. Summer vacation will certainly be full of more activity for Blast Back, DmC -Stairway to Heaven-, and just good ol’ rantin’ on the blarg.
Thank you so much for your patience, and continued support.
You’re all awesome.
Monty Oum, popular for his work in the animation community for crazy awesome videos like Dead Fantasy and RWBY passed away.
He had style too great for this world.
It’s sad when someone like this dies, especially this young. A lot of creative energy was lost (or maybe dispersed to the rest of us). I never met him personally or anything, but from everything I’ve heard, he was the genuine article, and I admired his creativity. You just know he loved what he did, you can see that passion in his creations.
Hello all! How are we doing this fine Monday? Oh…that bad huh? Well, maybe if you stopped picking at it…
ANYway, as you should all probably know by now, I’ve been in university up here in Coovie Town (Vancouver for all you squares), hence the slowdown in updates for both Blast Back and DmC: Devil May Cry -Stairway to Heaven-. However, one of my classes is a Creative Writing course, and I thought it’d be a small consolation to put up the assignments I wrote for class here, to not only get me back to actually putting stuff on here, but also to hold you over until something you actually care about comes along.
So here’s one of them now! Three Amigos was actually a replacement for a different short story assignment. Originally, I had a story that, while fun in its own right, was a bit too big for the assignment itself. it sounded like, and is, potentially part of some greater idea. Instead of submitting that, I decided to test my mettle, jump outside my comfort zones of third-person perspective and fantasy, and create something new from scratch. Three Amigos is the end result. It got an A, too!
If you haven’t followed the link above to read it, you can also get to the story by clicking this whole block of text. Did you click it yet? How ’bout now? You’re allowed to, I said you could. There! Hope you enjoy it, and rest assured that I am slowly working on the next chapter of Blast Back when I have free time.
