Randomly, a flash-fic

Heya bookworms!

Been a little bit. Things have been hectic obviously, although I won’t deny there was some laziness in there somewhere. I’ve started some freelance work as an editor, and I’m happy to be putting my skills to good use, especially in a way that helps others. There are some new chapters on the way, along with some other new stories that I want to refine a bit more before they go up.

However, one thing they always say is to keep writing, everyday, as much as you can, no matter what it is, even if it’s the same word repeatedly. This morning, I did just that. I had a random thought in my head, and I decided to let my fingers do the talking, so here’s Friday Nights at Cheep’s. Just scraping in under 1000 words. Not exactly flash-fiction in length, but in that it came outta nowhere in a flash for me, so whatever, it’s some random flash-fiction for your Friday. Well damn…maybe I should make that a thing to help me get back into this…”Flash-Fiction Fridays.”

For now though, enjoy this one, and let me know what you think, if you think anything!

Bite-sized Fiction

Hello there, bookworms! In the process of getting other writing projects finished, I completely forgot about some flash-fiction I had written not long ago that I wanted to share with everyone. Flash-fiction is a lot of fun for exploring smaller ideas and sometimes even as a launchpad for a grander one.

Afterblast: the blastening

We did it bookworms! The fifth chapter of Blast Back is up now for your reading pleasure! God, it’s taken forever, and I hate myself that it has. So many unforeseen circumstances along with large gaps in being able to tackle the chapter in great length, but I’ve carved away at it all this time, so now it’s complete!

Hopefully, hopefully, after this final semester is over, I can get to a way more consistent schedule for getting out anything that I want to share, instead of the sparsity we’ve had to deal with for such a long time now. If you’re still around after all this time, thank you so much for your support, in whatever way you give it, and especially, thank you so much for your patience.

Until the next post, Keep Yourself Alive.

Randomly New Poem

Riding home in the middle of the night, I got a hint of inspiration watching the Richmond and Vancouver traffic rolling on home after Victoria Day events. I don’t do poetry a lot, but sometimes the mood strikes, or there’s the perfect little idea that can’t be anything more than handful of words.

Either way, there’s a new poem up, Gold Spot, up for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!

Captain America and Marvel’s Civil Union

Captain America: Civil War, despite my few complaints with it, is definitely a fun film, worth the ticket and the sticky floor to see. Ultimately, these are my opinions (as usual) and just an overall feeling I have, but it doesn’t really detract as much from my enjoyment as this post would maybe make it seem. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and it’s leagues ahead of the snowball of trouble that is Batman v Superman, despite me being able to enjoy that too. For now, though, I just wanted to articulate some thoughts/concerns I had about Civil War and the overarching Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The point beyond this jump is full of unmarked spoilers for Captain America: Civil War, so only read on if you’ve seen the movie or don’t mind! If you do mind, maybe pass the time by catching up on the short stories I have instead…

The Fourth Ith Thtrong With Thith One

It’s May 4th today!

barney-confetti

Which is now celebrated as Star Wars Day because of a vague semblance between “fourth” and “force,” especially if you have a lisp (or is it lithp?). Easy jokes aside, let’s talk about my love of Thtar Warth for a change!

The Busters of Ghostbusting

Today is “Administrative Professionals Day,” yet another day where a calendar suggests that we respect a certain person, when in reality we should just respect everyone who deserves it all the time for the hard work they do in any field. Anyway, Sony released a video today coinciding with the release of the 2016 version of Ghostbusters (which I previously talked about how I’m not really concerned), which focused solely on Chris Hemsworth’s character Kevin, the receptionist for the ghostbusters.
