EDIT – December 5th 2013 – Hello to all you who find this article seeking the translation of “Sind Sie das Essen? Nein, wir sind der Jäger!” Roughly, in German it comes out to mean “Are you the prey? No, we are the hunters!” Hope that helps, and I hope you’d take a peek around elsewhere on the blog, as well.
If you happen to be a fan of both games and Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), I highly recommend you go to this site, download the “Unity Web Player” app, and then play a great li’l arcade-style fan-game based on the series!
The video doesn’t quite do the game justice
It’s gotten a pretty big update since the first time I played the game. The graphics and physics were updated, and a lot more mechanics were implemented, like gas, blade durability, and even pick-ups. It really captures that same sorta feel you get watching the show – sans all the talking – and seeing all the characters zip around through the streets.
As a tip, pressing the L key will switch you through to different levels, the third of which is Trost (a prominent area in the series) without any titans wandering around. This’ll be the best place to learn how to use your 3DMG, so you’ll go from this…
If you’re a fan of Kyojin at all, you owe it to yourself give the game a try. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a great little game, and a sweet little tribute to the series. I gotta give the guy who made it props, you can really see the love he put into it.
As for me, myself, and I, some solid progress is being made in Situation 0 -Amor Fati-, but I’m still writing about a singular character as she wanders through the wilderness. I’ve passed the midway point in her little expedition, and things are finally starting to heat up. Its rough because I love writing dialogue, and since Karamia isn’t a character who talks to herself, I can’t very well have her holding conversations as she walks through the woods. Fortunately, we’ve got some nice events to break up the calm. Even if it was slow-going at first, it’s a nice challenge to give myself, and it all serves to reveal more of the character.
Welp! until next post, Keep Yourself Alive!
Update! The Shingeki no Kyojin fan-game now has lan-based multiplayer support! Go, go, go!
Update again!! The game has received many updates, like new characters and titans, graphics, and even camera effects!
